Dear Friends,
For the past year I’ve dreamed of a way I could thank you for being the best reader friends any author could hope to have. I read your kind words and personal stories on my website guestbook, and I am touched by the hundreds of emails you send in every week.
Most recently, I’ve connected with many of you on my
facebook page. We visit there just about every day, and once in a while we share a random virtual Latte Time, where we have a group conversation. As a result, our friendship has grown.
Because of that, when I visited my publisher in Michigan last week I asked if we could do something very special for those of you who I love best, the ones who read my newsletter and stop by my website and hang out with me on Facebook. The ones who stand by me and pray for my family when I write a book or when something serious happens – the way it did a month ago when my husband suffered a stroke.
During that time I felt every one of your prayers, and I knew I needed to create something for you, some way so you’d know how much you mean to me. My co-workers at Zondervan agreed and now my dream of doing something very special for you, my closest reader friends, is finally a reality.
And so I will make a major announcement on Thursday, March 11.
In this announcement I will reveal to you something very special, something that will only apply to you and those closest to my books and my family. I told my Zondervan team, “I wish I could pick up the phone and tell these special reader friends what we’re about to do for them!”
Guess what? The phone call is a reality, too!
To take part in my announcement, you can call in on March 11 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time. You can get the
phone number now by registering here (for free, of course). During that call, I’ll explain how I’m going to thank you for your love and prayers and support over the years.

I can’t wait for March 11! Until then, please know how much you mean to me! I truly love all of you. I thank God for you, and I pray for you all the time. If I could, I’d invite you all over to hang out! We’d have so much to talk about!
Donald is doing very well, by the way. He has 100 percent of his abilities back, and he will undergo surgery Wednesday, March 3, to close the hole in his heart. I’ll keep you posted, and as always I know you’ll be praying.
